Fixed fee, agreed in writing. What’s in the contract is what you pay. Spanish IVA is shown separately: whether it applies to a given stage depends on where you are at the time, and your contract sets out the position.
Official fees, paid in your name. Official fees are set by the Spanish authorities and are not part of the prices above. Paying them from outside Spain is often not possible, so we pay them in your name and invoice them at cost, with the receipts.

Studying in Spain — Your Questions Answered
Can I apply for a Spanish student visa from the UK, or do I need to be in Spain?
Where you apply depends on your course, lawful status and family circumstances. The UK consular route and an application from within Spain have different eligibility rules; not every course qualifies for both. We check the route and timing with you before your application is prepared.
How much is a student visa for Spain from the UK?
Our professional fees are shown in the packages above. Government and consular charges, health insurance and any document costs listed as separate are additional. Official fees depend on the application and your nationality, so check the current consular tariff. We explain the costs that apply to your case before work starts.
How long can I stay in Spain with a student visa?
Higher-education authorisations generally cover the official programme duration. Other qualifying study authorisations normally cover the course up to one year, with extensions subject to the applicable requirements. Student-stay time does not count towards residence for Spanish nationality; the separate 50% study-time rule concerns EU long-term residence.
Is it hard for UK citizens to move to Spain?
Since Brexit, UK nationals are treated as third-country citizens and must qualify under one of Spain’s residence routes — Student, Non-Lucrative, Digital Nomad, Work, or Family Reunification. Each route sets its own requirements, and the documentary side is demanding: an apostilled criminal record, sworn translations, proof of income or savings, private healthcare. In our experience the difficulty is seldom the law itself but the paperwork. Common problems include a document that was never apostilled, a translation that does not meet the consulate’s requirements, and income evidence that does not cover the required period.
How long does it take to get a student visa for Spain from the UK?
Under the current Reglamento de Extranjería (Real Decreto 1155/2024), you must file your application at least two months before the start of your studies — this is a regulatory minimum, not a guideline. Consular processing itself typically takes 15–30 working days once the application is accepted, though between June and September this stretches to 4–6 weeks, and BLS International appointment availability can add another 2–4 weeks at the start. Exceptions to the two-month rule exist (late admission off a waiting list, scholarships awarded late, flexible enrolment at language and vocational schools) but must be documented with supporting evidence. In practice, aiming to submit 10–12 weeks before your course starts gives a comfortable margin.
Can I work while studying in Spain on a student visa?
Higher-education authorisations normally allow compatible employment or self-employment for up to 30 hours a week. Other qualifying courses may require separate work authorisation. The type of studies and authorisation matter, so check your work rights before accepting a job or relying on earnings to fund your stay.
Can my family members join me on a Spanish student visa?
Eligible family members may accompany students in higher education and specialised healthcare training, subject to the family and financial requirements. The accompanying-family authorisation does not permit work. Language-course students should not assume the same family route is available. If a family member wants to work, we assess whether a separate residence route could fit.
Can I switch to another residence route after my studies?
Your options after studying depend on the authorisation you hold, the programme completed and your circumstances. Language-study authorisations do not qualify for the standard study-to-work modification under Article 190, but a different residence route may still be available. For example, eligible applicants legally in Spain can apply separately for international-teleworker residence. Review the requirements before your current permission expires.
